Homemade Cevapi with Savoury Magic

If you’ve ever tried Kebapi (or Ćevapi), you know just how juicy, flavourful, and addictive they are.

This version uses only a few ingredients, but the star of the show is Savoury Magic Natural Seasoning, which packs every bite with delicious, balanced flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 500g beef mince (ideally with a bit of fat for juiciness)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Savoury Magic Natural Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • Optional: a splash of cold water for mixing

Instructions:

  1. Prep the mixture
    In a large bowl, combine the beef mince, chopped onion, Savoury Magic, and baking soda. Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are fully incorporated. For extra tenderness, add a tablespoon or two of cold water while mixing.
  2. Shape the Kebapi / Cevapi
    Take small amounts of the mixture and roll them into small sausage-like shapes, about the size of your index finger. You should get around 12–15 pieces.

  3. Chill (optional but recommended)
    Let the kebapi rest in the fridge for 20-30 minutes. This helps the flavours meld and the texture firm up for grilling.
  4. Grill or Pan-Fry
    Cook over a hot grill or in a lightly oiled pan, turning occasionally until nicely browned and cooked through (about 8–10 minutes total).

Serving Suggestion:

Serve your Savoury Magic Kebapi with fresh bread (like lepinja or pita), sliced onion, ajvar, or a side of yogurt for the full Balkan street-food experience.
